EVG delivers a Light Search & Rescue vehicle to Catalina Island Search & Rescue

EVG proudly modified a 4wd Toyota Tundra for Catalina Island Search & Rescue located on a small island off the coast of Southern California. The search & rescue vehicle will be operated through the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
EVG was fortunate enough to work closely with J.J. Poindexter to design and modify the vehicle to suit the needs of the rescue team. The following briefly lists a few of the many items added to the vehicle:
- Cargobody Shell from Fleetwest located in Arizona (www.fleetwest.net) - Slide out tray with a 2000 pound capacity - Hydraulic assisted ladder racks for the storage of stokes baskets and backboards - Aluminum shelving for storage of misc. equipment - 3550 watt gas generator - 2000 watt Dimension Inverter with GFI and pass-through circuitry that allows the generator to power the inverter and charge the vehicles batteries - Shoreline inlet for inverter/battery charger - Solar powered battery charger - Four (4) weatherproof 110 volt outlets (front bumper, rear bumper, driver and passenger side or bed - Custom manufactured center radio console and switch panel - Whelen strobe/halogen lightbar - Whelen hide-a-way strobe lights in tail and parking lights - Havis-Shield 750 watt telescoping flood lights - Whelen siren and speaker - Installation of radio equipment - Installation of suspension lift/custom springs for higher weight capacity, installation of off-road tires - Warn winch with carrier tray for use off of front and rear trailer hitches - Front brush guard - Front and rear fog lights - L.A. County Sheriff and Catalina Island Search & Rescue lettering/logos
